Monitor Flag
Monitor Flag (Offset 20)
Carry (Bit #0)
Carry signal occurs in such conditions below.
When additional pulses (increase direction) are detected after reaching the maximum value 2,147,483,647 in the linear count.
When additional pulse input is detected at the Ring Counter Maximum Value(Offset 7, 8), count value becomes zero (0) and carry signal occurs. Then, the operation begins according to the count mode as described below.
Linear Count: It stops the increasing direction count and displays the fixed maximum value. When the decreasing direction pulse is entered, the decrementing count works normally.
Unit Time: If unit time (mSec) is set as zero (0), RPM and PPS measurement function will not operate. Neither count function of the input pulse will operate.
Carry signal will be reset in such conditions below.
When the increasing direction pulse is entered.
When it is forcefully reset by the sequence program.
B) Borrow (Bit #1)
Borrow signal occurs in such conditions below.
When additional pulses (decrease direction) are detected after reaching the minimum value -2,147,483,648 in the linear count.
If additional pulse (decrease direction) input is detected when the count value reaches zero (0), the current count value becomes Ring Counter Maximum Value (Offset 7, 8). The Borrow signal occurs. Then, the operation begins according to the count mode as described below.
Linear Count: It stops the decreasing direction count and displays the fixed minimum value. When the increasing direction pulse is entered, the incrementing count works normally.
Ring Count: The current count value will be switched to the Ring Counter Maximum Value (Offset 7, 8), the normal counting operation proceeds according to the direction of the input pulse.
Borrow signal will be reset in such conditions below.
When the increasing direction pulse is entered.
When it is forcefully reset by the sequence program.
C) Compare Output (Bit #2)
When the "Compare Output Enable" (Offset 16, Bit #4) flag is set, comparison operation with the current count value is performed based on the configured comparison value, and the operation result is written on this flag. When it is configured to output the comparison result as a contact, it indicates the same status as "Compare Output" (Offset 13).
