Historian Tag setting

UltimateAccess Web 1.0 provides a more advanced tag database editor for Historian Databases that require large amounts of tag management. Description

New tag

Create a new tag. There are three types to choose from: digital tags, analog tags, and string tags.

New

Tag Group

 

Tags create new groups to categorize items by group.

You can create a group and place tags under it. The child tags are named as [Group name].[Tag name].
Ex) GROUP_0.DATA1

Edit Tag

Edit the selected tag

Fill Address

You can create tags that have consecutive memory addresses.

Delete

Deletes the selected tags.

Edit Tag - Common Settings

 

(1) Name

Specify a name for the tag.

(2) Device

Select the I/O device of the communication device associated with the tag.

(3) Address

Specifies the memory address of the communication device.

(4) Run Tag Action When Tag Value Changes

Tag Actions will execute a command expression when a tag value changes. Selecting this feature will enable the Tag Actions tab at the bottom.

(5) Write Initial Value to I/O Device

This check option will write the specified initial value to the PLC when CIMON runs. The value you want to write can be set in the Advanced Settings tab.

(6) Persist Tag Value

When using a virtual tag, it will save the data value before termination, so that it will retain that value in case of a rerun.

Fill Address

You can create tags that have consecutive memory addresses.

 

For cases like the one above. Create a new tag with 10 consecutive addresses. For example, if a tag named P1 has an address of D0 and you generate 10 with an increment value of 1, it will be created as shown below.

* Name format for consecutively generated tags

[Start Address Name]_[Addresses generated]

(1) Address

Specifies the start address of the tags to be generated consecutively.

(2) Count

Specifies the number of tags to generate in succession.

(3) Increment

Specifies the increment width of the tag address to generate consecutively.

Find Tags

Enter the string contained in the tag to search for. Everything displayed in the Edit tag window, down to the details, is searched and highlighted.

Set What to Show

 

When you right-click on the top bar, you can choose from three items
(1) Columns / Bands

 

  • Columns: Adds additional detail items for the bands. Double-click a selection to add it.

 

  • Bands : Add a large category to display. Double-click to add to the window.

 

  • Delete items to display : Select the item you want to delete, left click and move it somewhere else as shown below to delete the item.

Tag as an alarm tag

 

Selecting the Alarm Tag button to the right of the tag name activates the Alarms tab, where you can set up detailed settings for the alarm.

 

Data Logging Settings

 

Select the Data Logging button to specify the collection model for the tag.
