18.1.1 Settings

Double-click the [I/O Devices] in the project workspace or select [Tools] β [I/O Device]. Then [I/O Device Configuration] window will be brought up. You can select and configure the device.

(1)Β Β Β I/O Device Configuration
Item | Description |
New Device | Adds a new I/O device. When you press [New Device] button, [I/O Device Selection] window will be brought up, and you will find the list of the supported communication drivers. |
Edit | Modifies the selected I/O device. |
Delete | Deletes the selected I/O device. |
Close | Closes the [I/O Device Configuration] window. |

(2)Β Β Β I/O Device Selection
To bring up the [I/O Device Selection] window, press [New Device] button in the [I/O Device Configuration] window. The configurable communication drivers are listed in the window.
Item | Description |
Device Name | Enter the name of the I/O device to distinguish it from the other devices. You cannot use the period ( . ) in the I/O device name. The configuration file of the device is saved in the project folder as βDevice name.dvxβ. |
Manufacturer | Displays the manufacturer of the device. |
Description | Displays the type of the device. |
OK | Adds a new device with the current configuration. |
Cancel | Cancels the current configuration and goes back to the [I/O Device Configuration] window. |
