9.2 Settings
You can bring up the [Security Configuration] window by selecting [Tools] – [Security] or double-clicking the ‘Security’ on the project workspace.

(1)Â Â Security Configuration
Item | Description |
Base Security Level | You can set the default security level in the project runtime, without logging on the system. You can set the security level from 1to 100. The lower number indicates the higher authority. The default value assigned to the ‘Base Security Level’ is 100. |
Use Security Popup | This option pops up the message when a user tries to approach the object which requires a higher authority or another user group. |
Enable Auto Logout | This is used to log out automatically after 1 minute of inactivity. Â |
New User | Adds a new user. |
Edit | Edits the information of a selected user. |
Delete | Deletes the selected user from the list. |
Ok | Saves the configuration and returns to the graphic page. |
Cancel | Cancels the configuration and returns to the graphic page. |
(2) Part 11 project only settings
Item | Description |
Use windows ID | Lets the user use Windows account to login. |
Enable sign-in count limits | When enabled, the user can only attempt to login in a set number of times. |
Account lockout time (minutes) | Sets the amount of time to lockout the account login attempts. |
Number of login attempts | Sets the number of login attempts. Exceeding this number will lockout the account for the set amount of time. |
Enable minimum password length | Sets the minimum length to the password. |
Include at least one number and letter | When TRUE, the password must include at least one number and letter. |
Include at least one special character | When TRUE, the password must include at least one special character. |
Enable password reset interval | When enabled, the user must change the password after a set amount of time. |
Request to change password on first login | When TRUE, the user must change the password on their first login. |
Prohibit consecutive duplicate characters | When enabled, the user must set the password without repeating the same character (amount may vary depending on the settings). |
Prohibition of resetting previous passwords | The modified password is stored as configured. Stored passwords prohibit reset. (1 to 30) |

Item | Description | |
User ID | Enter the user ID to use in CimonX. You can use special characters. | |
Level | Assign a security level to the current user ID. You can assign the security level from 1 to 100. The lower number indicates the higher authority. The default value assigned to the ‘Base Security Level’ is 100. | |
Name | Designate the user’s name. You can use special characters. | |
Password | Configure the password of the user ID. If you are setting the password for the first time, following window will appear. | |
Password | This is used to setup the password for the project. The password has to be entered with following criteria.

Confirm Password | Enter the password again. | |
Change Password | When there is a previously configured password, a following [Change Password] dialog box will appear. You can change the password by entering the current password in the text field. Â | |
OK | Saves the password setting. | |
Cancel | Does not set up the password and goes back to the [Security Properties] window. | |
User Limit Time | Sets the due date of the account. | |
User Group | Select a user group of an object or a feature. You can assign a group A to P. The group can be duplicate. If the user group is different from the current user, the user cannot manipulate the object. |
