19.2 CIMON Historian DB Redundancy

CIMON Historian Database Redundancy

CIMON Historian database supports redundancy to provide high stability and reliability.

Supported network redundancy model

Redundancy model - Single DB Redundancy Architecture

UltimateAccess Web v1.0 and later

  • Single DB Redundancy structure without replicating the Historian DB.

  • Historian DB - Can be installed on Window OS (Win 10,11 / Windows Server), Linux OS

  • When switching happens, Historian DB on the secondary server logs the data.

  • When switching happens, the standby server becomes active after 1 to 5 seconds based on the network condition.

Redundancy model - Dual Redundancy Architecture

  • Dual type redundancy model structure.

  • Stream Replication between Historian DBs

  • When switching server happens, Historian DB on the secondary server logs the data.

  • When switching Historian DB server happens, the substitute (secondary) Historian DB performs as an active server.

  • In dual redundancy structure, UltimateAccess Web does not provide a solution for Historian DB redundancy. The user has to find external HDA solution company to build the Historian DB redundancy.

Not supported network redundancy structure

Redundancy model - Redundancy between internal databases

  • Historian databases between the PCs where UltimateAccess Web runtime is running are not supported.
