2.7.5 Clone

‘Clone’ command copies and pastes an object multiple times at once. Cloned objects are of identical configuration as the original object. If a tag is cloned, there is an option to differentiate the name of tag and register them as new tags automatically.
You cannot clone objects such as Trend, User Event Logging, Page Embedding, RT Graph, Dynamic Image, ActiveX and OLE Object.

Select the object to be cloned. Go to [Edit] – [Clone] then following dialog box appears.

Range of Clone

Configures the range of object cloning.

Space

(By Pixels)

User can configure the space between the cloned objects by pixels.

Space

(By Mouse)

User can check the location of object to be cloned through preview. When the location is decided, click on the graphic page.

 

X / Y Axis

Clones the object vertically or horizontally.

Numbers of copy[1]

Assigns the number of copy. From 0 to 999 can be assigned. The maximum number of copy is assigned as default. The default value is decided on the basis of the original location and the size of object. An object can be cloned up to 1024.

Pixels of Space

Assigns the space between cloned objects by pixels. From 0 to 999 can be assigned. If you have selected [Space (By Mouse)] option, [Pixels of Space] option is disabled.

Copy Direction

User can decide the direction of object cloning.

Auto tag generation

Clones the assigned tags according to user’s configuration.

Auto tag generation

If a tag is registered to the original object, you can generate the tag according to your own configuration; registering the original tag or cloned tags. Tags can be cloned up to 1024.

Use

You can decide whether to automatically increase or decrease the tag name.

Tag Name

Indicates the current tag name. You cannot edit this section.

Tag Type

Indicates the current tag type. All tag types can be cloned. However, you cannot edit this section.

Target

Searches numeric values from right side of the tag name. The results are listed as below. You can select one of the numeric values to be changed.

E.g. 1) When Tag Name: ‘VISIBLE_99_1’, Target: ‘99’, Increase, Value: 1

  • The next tag name will be ‘VISIBLE_100_1’, ‘VISIBLE_101_1’ ...

E.g. 2) When Tag Name: ‘VISIBLE_99_1’, Target: ‘1’, Increase, Value: 1

  • The next tag name will be ‘VISIBLE_99_2’, ‘VISIBLE_99_3’...

Increase/

Decrease

User can decide whether to increase or decrease the target value.

Value

User can assign the amount of increment/decrement value.

Position

Indicates the object’s name where the original tag is registered.
