Provide the user with assistance when trying to create a collage of objects. There are two types of Guides:
Guide Lines
Smart Guide Lines
The user can display/hide these features by checking/unchecking the boxes in the View menu. By default, both boxes will be checked.
This feature allows the user to place static horizontal or vertical lines on their project to assist with measuring pixel distance or object placement. To start using the Guides, place your cursor near the edge of either ruler and a green line should appear. Then you are able to drag this line to your desired location.
Another method of generating Guides would be to use the Add Vertical Guide or Add Horizontal Guide by clicking View > Guides. Any amount of Guides can be placed on the canvas.
To remove the Guides, simply drag them back to the ruler or click the Clear Guides in the View > Guides.
Edit Guides… - This function will allow the user to add and delete Guides, or change the location of the Guides location by double left-clicking the position column’s field.
To add or delete guides location, click View > Guides > Edit Guides…
To change the guides location, double left-clicking the position column’s field.
