CIMON Xpanels are capable of sharing tag values with CIMON-SCADA through an Ethernet connection.

For this feature, an Xpanel provides two memory areas:

  • Data Memory

  • String Memory

Each memory area is composed of 5,000 buffers, which are used exclusively to communicate with CIMON-SCADA.

To use an Xpanel as a data server, you will need to register it as an I/O device in the SCADA project. See the Additional Configuration section for more information.

  • To use this function, Xpanel must be configured with a fixed IP address.

The General configuration page will appear once a new Ethernet Data Server device has been added successfully. An additional configuration is below the General configuration section and will differ based on the device protocol selected.
