KOYO DirectNet (Serial)
This driver is used to connect a PowerTran Xpanel with a KOYO DL06 PLC using RS-232C or RS-422/485.
Communication Setup: Xpanel
Create a new device | To create a new device, select [Tools] β [I/O Devices] in the menu or click the icon in the main toolbar. The βI/O Device Configurationβ dialog box will appear as shown below: I/O Device Name: Give a device name. This name will be used in the tag database, accompanied by the βStation Nameβ. |
Select a network type | After selecting the [Ok] button in the previous step, the βSerial Communication Configurationβ dialog box will appear as shown in the following picture: In this window, set the βDevice Typeβ to βKOYO DirectNetβ and configure the remaining serial communication parameters. Ensure that these parameters are matched with the deviceβs configuration. See the Communication Configuration section for more information. |
Create a station | Move to the [Station] tab of the βSerial Communication Configurationβ dialog box and click βAdd Stationβ. The βStationβ dialog box will appear as shown below: Each field can be configured with the following rules: Station Name: Give a name to the PLC. This name will be used in the tag database, accompanied by the βDevice Nameβ. Station Type: Choose either 'DirectNet(HEX)β or βDirectNet(ASCII)β, depending on the PLC configuration. Station No: Specify a decimal number between 1 and 247. This must match the station number of the PLC. See the Communication Configuration section for more information about the remaining parameters. |

Example of word memory referencing:
V40000.15 - bit 15 of word 40000
V40000.0 - bit 0 of word 40000
Example of discrete memory referencing:
GX017 - bit 17 in octal (15 in decimal) of the remote I/O
