14.1 Ethernet Data Server

CIMON Xpanel’s are capable of sharing tag values with CIMON-SCADA through an Ethernet connection. For this feature, an Xpanel provides two memory areas: Data Memory and String Memory. Each memory area is composed of 5,000 buffers, which are used exclusively to communicate with CIMON-SCADA.

To use an Xpanel as a data server, you will need to register it as an I/O device in the SCADA project. See the Additional Configuration section for more information.
