To open the Canvas simulator, click Tools > Launch Simulator. or press the Launch Simulator icon on the toolbar.

Hotkey: [F5]

Run Simulator Icon

If there are any unsaved changes, a pop-up window appears asking the user to save any unsaved changes prior to running the simulator.

  • You cannot check the communication-related features in the simulator (data logging, data server, data bridge, recipe, etc.).

  • You cannot get real data in the simulator via communication functions.

  • Project operates virtually in the simulator without PLC communication, and real tags are converted into the virtual tag during simulator runtime.
