12.1.3 Alarm Configuration
In the Alarm Editor window, click the + icon to bring up the Edit Alarm window shown below:
Item | Description |
Alarm Name | Assigns a title to the user’s alarm. |
Trigger | Assign a tag or expression to be responsible for initiating the alarm. |
Comparison | Declares the parameter/threshold in which the alarm fires. |
Value 1 | Primary parameter for single-sided comparisons (i.e. X > Value 1). |
Value 2 | Secondary parameter for two-sided comparisons (i.e. Value 1 > X > Value 2). |
ON Action | Assign an action that occurs when the alarm is triggered. |
OFF Action | Assign an action that occurs when the alarm settles. |
Acknowledge Action | Assign an action that occurs when the alarm is acknowledged. |

Expands each section within the Edit Alarm window. | ||
Collapses each section within the Edit Alarm window. |
On the Descriptions tab, clicking New Description allows the user to create comments that can be assigned to alarms and will appear on alarm objects.
