2.7.9 Upgrade Xpanel Application Program

If the application versions used by Xpanel and XpanelDesigner are different from each other, then a program downloaded from XpanelDesigner will not run on Xpanel.

You can solve this problem by upgrading the application version using the [Upgrade Xpanel Application Program] tool, or by using a different version of XpanelDesigner.

Upgrading the application program

a) If you know the version of the application program or project, download the same version of XpanelDesigner from the ATIVA website (http://www.ativa-automacao.com.br/). If you don’t know the version of the application program or project, then install the most recent version of XpanelDesigner.

b) Go to [Online] – [Upgrade Xpanel Application Program] and specify the connection method.

c) Confirm the upgrade version and press ‘Yes’.

Be sure to back up the Xpanel project file before upgrading the application version. Old projects can be upgraded to newer versions, but new projects cannot be downgraded to older versions.

d) A success message will appear when the application program upgrade is finished.

e) If necessary, re-download the new program to Xpanel. See the Download to Xpanel section for more information.

f) Check that the project screen appears properly by double-clicking the ‘Xpanel’ icon.
