[Remote Controls] allow for the user to start/stop the project on the Xpanel(s), reboot the Xpanel Viewer, or update their Xpanel’s software.

  1. Run CIMON Canvas.

  2. Go to [Tools] > [Deployment Panel] and choose which Xpanel you will be using by checking the box on the left-hand side. If the [Status] of the Xpanel is OFFLINE, the user will not be able to download/upload a project.

  3. [Start Project] will initiate the runtime with the current project on the selected Xpanel(s). [Stop Project] will cease the operation of the runtime on the selected Xpanel(s). [Reboot Xpanel Viewer] will restart the runtime on the selected Xpanel(s). [Update Xpanel Software] will upgrade the firmware of the Xpanel to match that of the currently used CIMON Canvas.

  • The Subnet Mask and Gateway fields should be configured to match those of the PC. These can be found using the ‘ipconfig’ command.

  • Duplicate IP addresses are not allowed. Make sure the IP address you choose is not being used by another device on the network.

  • The Xpanel IP address must be on the same local network as the PC. If the subnet mask is set to 255.255.255.0, this means the first 3 values of the IP address must match those of the default gateway. If the subnet mask is set to 255.255.0.0, then the first 2 values must match, and so on.
