XpanelDesigner is a software that allows users to create projects that can be downloaded to CIMON’s HMI, Xpanel. You can download any version of the software from the CIMON website (www.cimon.com).
| - When you install XpanelDesigner, check for the software version compatible with your product. - A project created in a higher version cannot be executed in a lower version. - To establish a connection between your PC and HMI, you must download a separate program according to the following OS versions: - If your OS version is Windows XP, ‘ActiveSync’ is required. - If your OS version is Windows 7 and above, the ‘Windows Mobile Device Center’ is required. - You can download each program on the Microsoft website (www.microsoft.com). |
In order to use the project properly, please check if a model is compatible with the software version. Please refer to below for Xpanel models and their non-applicable versions.

Installation of XpanelDesigner |
Follow the steps below to download XpanelDesigner.
a) Go to the CIMON website (www.cimon.com), and register for an account. Make sure to be logged in before proceeding.
b) Click [Download] at the top right > Click [ATVXEL DESIGNER] in the middle of the webpage.
c) Or navigate to [Support] at the top > Click [Archive] from the list. You may set the filters by product or category, or even search by keywords to find the version of XpanelDesigner you desire.
d) Click the download file at the bottom of the page.
e) Unzip the file in your directory storing the download. Run the setup.exe installer file as administrator.
f) Wait until the InstallShield Wizard program is executed. This may take some time depending upon the system environment.
g) Read the End-User License Agreement. You must accept the agreement to continue the installation. Select the button labeled ‘I accept the terms of the license agreement’ and press [Next >].
h) Specify the location of XpanelDesigner and press the [Next >] button. If you have not changed the path, the software will be installed to ‘C:\CIMON\XpanelDesigner “Version”’ as default. The default path may differ depending on the version of XpanelDesigner.
XpanelDesigner v2.50 and below versions are installed in ‘C:\CIMON\Xpanel’ by default. If you install the higher version upon the lower version, the program will automatically upgrade the software version.
From XpanelDesigner v2.52, the software is installed on a separate path.
i) Now InstallShield Wizard is ready to install XpanelDesigner. Press the [Install] button to begin the installation.
j) A ‘FONTSELECT’ window will appear as the installation starts. Fonts in the PC are listed on the left side of the window. You may add or ignore the selected fonts for XpanelDesigner.
| The use of illegally downloaded fonts can be subject to legal action, and CIMON will not be held liable in such cases. Please make sure to look up the license of any font you wish to use in the Xpanel project. |
k) Press the [Finish] button to complete the XpanelDesigner installation.
l) Launch XpanelDesigner.exe to check if the installation was successful.
