3.4.1 Basic Objects
The user can select and draw basic graphic objects on the canvas, such as lines, rectangles, circles, and arcs. Features are listed in the following table.

Line | Used to draw lines. | |
Rectangle | Used to draw rectangles or squares. | |
Ellipse | Used to draw circles or ellipses. | |
Pie | Used to draw pies. | |
Arc | Used to draw arcs. | |
Chord | Used to draw chords. | |
Polygon | Used to draw polygons. Number of sides, width, and height can be determined when you left-click on the canvas. | |
Polyline | Used to draw complex objects. Vertices are added whenever you click a blank space on the graphic page. To exit drawing mode, double left-click the blank space of the graphic page at which point the object will cease drawing, but what has been drawn so far will remain. Additionally, if you press Esc while drawing, this will exit drawing mode and delete what was drawn. | |
Text | Used to enter text. The text in the box is edited via Text field in the Property Editor feature. | |
Image | Used to import images into Canvas. Accepted file formats are png, jpg, jpeg, bmp, svg, and gif. |
