Distribute is designed for when the user selects three or more objects. Equal spaces can be distributed between selected objects either horizontally or vertically.
To select a group of objects, click on one object and hold down the [Ctrl] key as you click another. The user also clicks on a blank area of the page and drags the mouse over all the objects you wish to select. You may then provide spacing for the objects by clicking Arrange > Distribute > select the desired option. Another way to do this is to right-click the objects and click Distribute > select the desired option in the sub-menu.
