This document is issued to notify the new release of CICON.

This version of CICON provides following new functions.

 

  •  Improved running in Windows 11 (22h2 or higher)

  • Feature : Scan program Modbus Address(Modicon) Tooltip display option

  • Feature : Bit Device "." Delimiter display option

 

 

Improved running in Windows 11

 

Improved CICON abnormal behavior in Windows 11 environments.

When using Windows 11 (22h2 or higher), you must use that version.

 

What is Windows 11 22H2?

It is the second major version of Windows 11, and the first major update.

It was officially released on September 20, 2022 (21st Korean time) based on local time.

 

To check the PC version

[Setting] - [System] - [Info]

 

The following errors may occur when running a program other than that version.

 

 

 

 

Feature : Scan program Modbus Address(Modicon) Tooltip display option

 

A tooltip has been added to make Modbus communication Modicon Address easy to check on the scan program.

After setting the tooltip display on the Options Settings screen below, the Scan Program mouse over the device displays the Modicon Address.

 

Menu -> Tool -> CICON Options... -> LD Editor Tab

 

 

Feature : Bit Device "." Delimiter display option

 

The last digit of the Bit Device corresponds to the bit number and the Bit "." display option has been added to increase this Bit Device visibility.

You can check the (.) delimiter by opening the scan program again after setting the bit device notation point (.) in the option settings below.

(Added "." only when creating and displaying a scan program. It will be applied to device monitors and variable tables later.)
