7.1.2 Object Configuration
You can configure library image objects with basic control features such as [Visible], [Blink], etc. To open the [Object Configuration] window, double-click or right-click the object and select [Object Config] in the pop-up menu.
This section only discusses the configuration for basic library objects (images). Wizard objects each have their own configuration window, which varies slightly based on the object’s functionality. |
Item | Description |
Name | Designate a name for the object. The name must contain at least one non-space character. |
Type | Indicates the type of object. This field cannot be edited. |
Style | Controls the object’s default size, position, line/fill style, and transparency. |
Visible | Shows or hides the object based on a tag value. |
Blink | Blinks in a predefined cycle based on a tag value. |
V/H-Move | Moves the object vertically/horizontally based on a tag value. |
Rotate | Rotates the object by an angle based on a tag value. |
Touch | Executes a custom operation when the object is pressed or released. |
EntryData | Inputs data with a data entry window when the object is pressed. |
Wizard objects are grouped objects that provide self-contained tag functions. For example, a wizard object may display a gauge based on an analog value, or allow the user to select an option from a drop-down menu. Wizard objects each have their own object configuration window and generally cannot use custom control functions such as ‘Touch’, ‘Visible’, etc. To change the tags used by a wizard object, simply double-click the object and configure the options provided—there is no need to edit tag names and text separately for each object in the group. The wizard object shown below displays a green “ON” light when TAG1 is equal to 1 and displays an unlit “OFF” light when TAG1 is equal to 0.
