The Toolbar contains frequently used Canvas commands and allows quick access to these commonly used commands. Users can customize the Toolbar's appearance for how and where the icons appear. Users can have only specific toolbar displays if need be, as well. The toolbar section names are Drawing Tools, Font Tools, Arrange Tools, Connection Tools, Project Tools, and the Main Tools.
Designer Functionalities
Specific toolbars can be turned off and on at the user's discretion. To turn a toolbar on or off, go to View > Toolbars and click any Toolbar that needs to be enabled or disabled.
Main Tools
Main tools allow the user to edit directly with the project. Commands found commonly in Edit or File, such as Undo, Redo, Save, Save As, Cut, Paste, and other editing tools, can be found here.
Drawing Tools
Drawing tools are where users can place objects onto a page. Objects here include Rectangles, Alarm Summary, Pen, and Trends. These objects can also be found in the Insert menu as well.
Arrange Tools
Arrange tools allow the user to change how objects on the page are arranged directly. Options such as bringing an object to the front, bringing an object to the back, or even centering objects are available. Users can access these by right-clicking an object and clicking Order or Align.
Connection Tools
Connection tools allow the user to run the project on either simulator mode or download the project to an HMI. Downloading the project to an HMI or running simulator mode will be available here. These options can also be found in Tools.
Project Tools
Project tools allow the user to change the project's settings and how specific objects will run or change what they will track. Options include the Alarm Editor, Schedule Editor, Cross Reference, and IO Device Editor. These objects can also be found in Tools.
Font Tools
Font tools allow users to adjust text that may appear in the project. Users can change the font, size, color, and text style. Users can alter the type of Align that text can have as well. These can also be adjusted in the Appearance tab in any object that contains text.
