Allows the operator to virtually run the project. This feature can be used when there are no physical Xpanels and there is a need to test the project.

Running Simulator

To execute the CIMON Canvas simulator, click Tools > Launch Simulator…. The simulator will run the starting page chosen for the project.

  • Note that you cannot check the communication-related features in the simulator.

  • Project operates virtually in the simulator without PLC communication, and real tags are converted into the virtual tag during simulator runtime. Please note that you cannot get real data in the simulator via communication functions.

In the simulator runtime, the main page is loaded in which the user is able to interact with their project via their mouse and keyboard.
