Device Type | Select the protocol of the target device. | |
Comm. Port | Select the COM port to be used by the local device (Xpanel). Each COM port may support different communication methods depending on the Xpanel model. You can choose a COM port number up to COM255. Refer to the table below for more information. | |
Baud Rate | Assign the baud rate. You can select a rate from 300 to 115,200 bps. The rate must be identical to the target device’s configuration. | |
Parity | Select an option for parity bit usage. You may select none, even or odd. | |
Data Bits | Assign the number of data bits per packet. This option must be equal to the target device’s configuration. Choosing 5~7 bits provides faster communication speed but can cause errors if the data contains Korean characters. If Korean characters are included in the frames, select the 8-bit option. | |
Stop Bits | Select the number of bits used to signal the end of the frame. You can select 1 or 2 bits. This option must be identical to the setting on the target device. | |
RTS/CTS | Select this option to control the data flow using the RTS/CTS lines. RTS (Request To Send) indicates that a device is ready to send data. CTS (Clear to Send) is a response signal indicating that the receiving device is ready for the data to be sent. This option must be identical to the setting on the target device. | |
Comm. Type | Select the communication type used by the target device. You can select RS232, RS422, or RS485. | |
Retry No. | Assign the number of communication retry attempts after a communication failure. | |
TimeOut | If the requested frame is not received in the assigned time, it will be processed as a communication failure. Values are multiplied by 100ms. For example, a value of 30 represents 3000ms or 3 seconds. | |
Local ID | Enter the local ID if required by the device protocol. | |
Network Opt. | Assign the network option if required by the device protocol. | |
Using Dial-Up Modem | Select this option if you are using a modem. | |
Telephone No. | Enter the telephone number of the modem. | |
Init Command | Enter the initialization command if necessary. | |
Dial Retry No. | Assign the number of communication retry attempts after a dial failure. | |
Dial Time Out | If the requested frame is not received in the assigned time, it will be processed as a communication failure. The value should be entered in seconds. | |
Using Transmission Delay | Assign the amount of time to delay the data transmission, from the Xpanel side. | |
Delay Time | The amount of time to delay transmission by. The value is multiplied by 100ms. For example, a value of 3 corresponds to a delay time of 300ms. | |
Initialize the Tx Frame When Timeout Occurs | Select this option to initialize Tx frames that are registered during a timeout period. | |
