Exercise: Expressing contents of the page in different languages

You can use the multi-language table to express various elements of the page in different languages. In this example, the multi-language string object is used to express the simple explanation for a flowmeter in Korean, English, and Japanese.

※    Please refer to the ‘Multi String’ Multi String manual for more information about the multi-string object.

a)       Create an analog tag ‘INDEX’ to assign the string index.

b)      Go to [Tools] – [Multi Language Setup] and select the ‘Use Multiple Language Table’ option. Enter the control tag name ‘INDEX’ in the text field and assign the language and font to display.

c)       Go to [Tools] – [String Editor] and add a string group. Check the ‘Multiple Column’ option.

d)      Press the ‘Add String’ (blue star) icon and enter the strings in each column to display in the multi-string object. Write the same contents in a different language in the same index, but a different column. Korean, English, and Japanese will be displayed according to the ‘INDEX’ value.

e)       Press the ‘Column Property’ (blue star) icon and assign languages and fonts that were configured in the step b.

f)        Press [Draw] – [Multi Language String] to create a multi-string object. Specify the group number and string value.

g)      Create three touch objects to change the value of the ‘INDEX’ tag. Korean value is 0; the English value is 1; the Japanese value is 2.

h)      Launch the project in Xpanel or simulator. When you press each button, you will find that different strings are displayed.
