  • The project will not operate correctly if the version of Canvas used to create the project is different from the version of Canvas used to create the project running on the Xpanel OS. Users may upgrade or downgrade the Canvas software to match the Canvas version running on the Xpanel.

  • Once a project is converted from a lower Canvas version to a higher Canvas version, users cannot reverse this action. For best practice, create a backup for each project version used.

Target Xpanel Not Found on Network

Troubleshoot #1

  1. Check the IP address of the PC by navigating to Windows and typing “Command Prompt” in the search box or pressing [Win] + [R] on the keyboard.

  2. Type “ipconfig” on the command screen to check the PC’s Ethernet setup. Make sure that both the Xpanel and PC are connected to the same local network, and that both are using the same subnet mask and default gateway.

If the subnet mask is set to 255.255.255.0, this means the first 3 values of the IP address must match those of the default gateway. If the subnet mask is set to 255.255.0.0, then the first 2 values must match, and so on.

  2. Tap Exit to stop the Xpanel runtime and get redirected to the Control Center window.

  3. Then, click Settings > Network Settings. Set the user’s IP address(es) for the Xpanel device in either LAN 1 and/or LAN 2. After the user’s IP information is set, scroll to the bottom and click Apply and Save. If the subnet mask and/or gateway are different from those of the PC, then change them to match the PC.
