Initial Draw Type

If you select the Fixed Pen option, the new data will be updated on the side of the display base (right or left).

If you select the Moving Pen option, the new data will be updated at the end of the latest pen’s location.

Both options will draw the same graph.

(3) Pen

In this tab, you can assign the tags to monitor in the trend object. You may assign a maximum of 16 tags.

Description

Tag Name

Assign a tag name to monitor. You can manually enter the tag name in the field or select the number button on the left to bring up the [Pen] window.

Addr

Assign the device address to be monitored. Select the data type and I/O device then press  button to configure the detailed address.

Tag

Assign the tag to be monitored. You can manually enter the tag name or press the (blue star) button to select the tag.

Comment

Enter the detailed comment of the pen. This field must be filled in. The comment will be used instead of the tag name in the object’s legend.

Min Value

Enter the minimum value which will be displayed on the graph. If you do not enter a value, this field will be set as the minimum value of the tag.

Max Value

Enter the maximum value which will be displayed on the graph. If you do not enter a value, this field will be set as the maximum value of the tag.

Pen Color

You may set a pen color, from one of our 98 colors.

Color

You can set a pen color. You can choose one from the 98 colors.

(4) Control Button

You can use the trend mode control button to switch trend mode between real-time an historical trend. You can also analyze the past data by changing the time frame.

Trend Mode

Switches the trend mode between real-time trend and historical trend.

Prev Frame

  • Displays the previous frame.

Ex) A trend with 2 minutes of ‘Display Time’ and the present time is 12:00:00 – 12:02:00. If you press the ‘Prev Frame’ button, the Trend displays the data of 11:58:00 – 12:00:00.

Next Frame

  • Displays the next frame.

Ex) A trend with 2 minutes of ‘Display time’ and the present time is 12:00:00 – 12:02:00. If you press the ‘Next Frame’ button, the Trend displays the data of 12:02:00 – 12:04:00.

Decrease Interval (Zoom In)

When you press the button, the monitoring interval is cut into the half. In other words, this button is to monitor the data in detail.

Ex) A trend with 2 minutes of ‘Display time’ and the present time is 12:00:00 – 12:02:00. If you press the ‘Decrease Interval’ button, the Trend Time becomes 12:01:00 – 12:02:00.

Increase Interval (Zoom Out)

When you press the button, the monitoring interval is doubled. In other words, this button is to monitor the data in a broader range.

Ex) A trend with 2 minutes of ‘Display time’ and the present time is 12:00:00 – 12:02:00. If you press the ‘Increase Interval’ button, the Trend Time becomes 11:58:00 – 12:02:00.

Pen

Changes the pen to display the different minimum/maximum value. When you press the button, the min/max. value will change according to the order of the assigned pens.

Time

A base time shown in the historical trend.

Time Width

The value can be assigned in second unit, up to 83 minutes. The actual time width cannot be smaller or 5000 times greater than sampling time.

Pen

You can choose the pen to show in the graph by selecting each checkbox.

Min/Max Setting

Ref. Pen

Select a pen from the combo box for setting minimum/maximum value.

Reset

Reset the ratio of minimum/maximum value as default, which is same as ‘Org Min/Max’.

Org Min/Max

The initial minimum/maximum value of ‘Ref. Pen’ is displayed. If the numeric characters of minimum/maximum value exceeds 12 digits, the value will displayed with mantissa and index number.

Min/Max Ratio

Minimum/maximum value is converted into a percentage. Min ratio can be assigned from 0 to 99%, and max ratio can be assigned from 1 to 100%. Min ratio cannot be same or bigger than max ratio. This field is enabled when ‘Ratio set’ is selected.

Zoom Min/Max

You can input the value to change ‘Org min/max’. Each value cannot be smaller than ‘Org min’ or bigger than ‘Org max’. The field is enabled when ‘Value set’ is selected.

Keyboard

By pressing each button, you can show or hide a virtual keyboard on the screen.
