Exercise: Setting Project Properties

The following is an example of changing project properties after creating a new project.

This section gives an illustrative example of using the Project Properties menu. Your settings may be different depending on your project’s configuration.

Setting the Project Password

a) Select [Tools] – [Project] or the  icon to bring up the [Project Properties] window. Enter a description of the project if needed.

b)     Press the [Password] button and enter a password which will be used within XpanelDesigner. Be sure to remember this password.

c)     If you wish to change the password, press the [Password] button again and enter the password which you set in the previous step, then press [Ok]. Then you can assign a new password.

Project Conversion and Back Up

You can back up the current project files when converting the project’s Xpanel type.

a)     Press the [Convert] button, then select the ‘Back Up’ option in the popup window. You can see that the current project is using the XT12C model.

b)     Change the model to “XT07C” and assign the backup project path and name. In this example, the project will be saved to the desktop.

c) Press the [Convert] button to start the project conversion and back up.

d)     After the conversion, you can see that the Xpanel type in the [Project Properties] window and the page size have been changed.

e)     When you open the backup project, you can see that the original project was saved.
