Check IP address of the PC

...

  1. If the Settings dialog box is not already open, then tap the corners of the Xpanel screen in the sequence shown below:
    bottom-left > bottom-right > top-right and the Settings pop-up window will appear.

  2. Tap Exit to stop the Xpanel runtime and get redirected to the Control Center window.

  3. Then, click Settings > Network Settings. Set the user’s IP address(es) for the Xpanel device in either LAN 1 and/or LAN 2. After the user’s IP information is set, scroll to the bottom and click Apply and Save. If the subnet mask and/or gateway are different from those of the PC, then change them to match the PC.

  • The Subnet Mask and Gateway fields should be configured to match those of the PC. These can be found using the “ipconfig” command.

  • Duplicate IP addresses are not allowed. Make sure the IP address you choose is not being used by another device on the network.

  • The Xpanel IP address must be on the same local network as the PC.

Settings for CIMON Canvas

  1. Run CIMON Canvas and open a project to be downloaded, or proceed to the next step if you are uploading to the PC.

  2. Click Tools > Deployment Panel and choose which Xpanel you will be using by checking the box on the left-hand side. If the Status of the Xpanel is OFFLINE, the user will not be able to download/upload a project.

  3. The user will receive a warning message confirming they will install the currently loaded project on CIMON Canvas to the selected Xpanel. If the user is certain, click Ok.

  • The project will not operate correctly if the version of CIMON Canvas that was used to create the project is different from the version of Xpanel OS that is running the project. Upgrade or downgrade the software until both versions are identical.

  • Once a project has been converted from a lower version to a higher version, it cannot be converted back to a lower version. Always make separate backups for each version of a project that you use.
