Registering CIMON Canvas as a Starting Program

Users can configure CIMON Canvas to run automatically when booting up Windows. For Windows 7 and above, there are two methods as shown below.

  1. Right-click on the Canvas.exe icon . > Click Send to. > Click Desktop (create shortcut) on the pop-up menu.

  2. Then, you can either open the Startup window . There are two ways to do this:

    and press the [Windows] + [R] keys to open the Run window. Enter “shell:startup” in the search field and click OK.

  3. Open

    Or open the File Explorer window and type “Startup” in the address bar, then press enter. You will be taken to the Startup folder as shown below.

  4. Drag and drop or cut and paste the shortcut icon for CIMON Canvas into the Startup folder.

Windows 7 and Above Method #2

  1. You can either open the Control Panel > Click System and Security > Administrative Tools > Double-click Task Scheduler.

  2. Or search “Task Scheduler” using the Windows search feature, then click Task Scheduler.

  3. Click Create Basic Task… on the upper right side of the Task Scheduler window to open the Create Basic Task Wizard window.


  4. On the Create Basic Task Wizard window in the Create a Basic Task section, type “Canvas” in the name field . > Click Then click Next.

  5. On the [Task Trigger ] pagesection, select [click When I log on] and press [ > Next].

  6. On the [ Action ] pagesection, select [click Start a program] and press [ > Next].

  7. Press the [Browse…] button on the right side of the [Program/Script] field On the Start a Program section, click Browse… and select the location of the “CIMON Canvas.exe”, then press [click Next].

  8. the configuration by pressing the [Finish] buttonOn the Finish section, click Finish.
