Registering CIMON Canvas as a Starting Program

Users can configure CIMON Canvas to run automatically when booting up Windows. For Windows 7 and above, there are two methods as shown below.

  1. Right-click on the Canvas.exe icon. > Click Send to. > Click Desktop (create shortcut) on the pop-up menu.

  2. Open the Startup window. There are two ways to do this:

    1. Press the [Windows] + [R] keys to open the Run window. Enter “shell:startup” in the search field and click OK.

    2. Open [ File Explorer ] and enter type “Startup” in the path fieldaddress bar, then press enter. You will be taken to the Startup folder as shown below.

  3. Drag and drop or cut and paste the shortcut icon for CIMON Canvas into the [ Startup ] folder.

Windows 7 and Above Method #2

  1. Open You can either open the [ Control Panel ] and go to [> Click System and Security > Administrative Tools] > [Double-click Task Scheduler]. Alternatively, in Windows 10, you can type “task scheduler” in .

  2. Or search “Task Scheduler” using the Windows search barfeature, then click on [Task Scheduler] in the results section.

  3. Click [Create Basic Task…] on the upper right side of the [ Task Scheduler ] window to open the [ Create Basic Task Wizard ] window.

  4. On the [ Create a Basic Task ] pageWizard window, enter type “Canvas” in the name field, then press [Next]. > Click Next.

  5. On the [Task Trigger] page, select [When I log on] and press [Next].

  6. On the [Action] page, select [Start a program] and press [Next].

  7. Press the [Browse…] button on the right side of the [Program/Script] field and select the location of the “CIMON Canvas.exe”, then press [Next].

  8. Finish the configuration by pressing the [Finish] button.
